FAQs

  • We charge for the appointment, regardless of whether or not a prescription is issued. There is no direct financial incentive for us to prescribe medications. We make recommendations based on your best interests.

  • No. We know that some other natural healthcare providers are affiliated with certain brands of medications - we are ethically and professionally against this. For us, being ethical and registered health professionals means we are fully independent from the pharmaceutical industry.

  • It’s legal nation-wide to drive with legally-prescribed CBD (cannabidiol) in your system, because CBD doesn’t intoxicate / impair you.

However if your medication contains any THC (tetrahydracannabidiol) it can potentially intoxicate you and impair your driving. It is NOT legal to drive in NSW with THC in your system. Unfortunately, THC can stay in your system for a long time - even long after any potential impairment wears off. We hope that the driving laws eventually catch up to meet our understanding of THC metabolism. Until then, THC + driving = legal risk.

If you’re concerned about this, we recommend you seek independent legal advice.

  • Yes! You can transport it like any other prescribed medication and even take it on domestic flights. We recommend you keep it in its original packaging so that the pharmacy sticker clearly shows that it is legally prescribed to you.

  • No! Under no circumstances do we recommend that you take natural medicines overseas.

Perhaps reciprocal agreements will exist between countries but we have no idea about this. If you’re considering taking your medication overseas, firstly just don’t, and secondly please seek independent legal advice.

  • We are dedicated to our local community. Our founder Dr Ashleigh Ray is a local, having grown up in Thirroul. Back then, “Thirroul” started with an “F” and had only one syllable - “Frool”.

We offer limited in-person appointments at Thirroul Natural Healing Centre.

We have relationships with local GPs and Allied Health Services. With your consent, we send letters to your GP to keep them in the loop about any prescribed medications.

We offer free, in-person education sessions to local healthcare providers about natural medicines.

We are NOT affiliated with any particular brand of medication. This means we can prescribe the most affordable options available.

  • You can cancel your appointment free-of-charge up to 24- hours prior to your appointment.
